How does Trackbuster secure your privacy?
Trackbuster is running a virtual private network (VPN) to which your computer can connect via a SSL-Tunnel. The connection to the trackbuster.com network is highly encrypted and can not be decrypted even by your internet service provider. Thus your data traffic can not be tracked by anyone.

After being logged into the Trackbuster network, every single internet connection from your computer is redirected through the VPN. Thus each internet provider is only able to retrieve the IP address of the trackbuster.com network. Your private IP address is hidden, your privacy and anonymity is secured.

Registration
In order to use Trackbuster you have to create a new user account.
After choosing your username and password, with which you're getting access to the Trackbuster network.
Afterwards you choose how long you're going to use the services of trackbuster.com and the form of payment for the selected membership.


Which payment methods are possible?
You can choose between bank transfer and PayPal. Using PayPal you can also pay with your credit card. Other (anonymous) payment methods are currently evaluated.


When will my account be activated?
After your incoming payment we will manually check your payment (PayPal payments, too - due to heavy abuse) and acticate your account weekdays within 24 hours.
The validity time of your membership will start with the activation of your account.


Can I extend my membership before it runs out?
No. You can not extend your memberhip before it runs out. Please just register again via www.trackbuster.com once your membership has expired.

Which applications can I use with Trackbuster?
Every application, which transmits data on the internet like browsers, email applications, e.g., can be anonymized by Trackbuster. Since all data traffic is redirected via the Trackbuster network, your IP-address gets always replaced by an IP-Address from the Trackbuster network, which means your connection is anonymized.
Trackbuster although works with all legal filesharing application. You can use P2P networks (eDonkey, BitTorrent, FastTrack, etc.) to up- and download legal files anonymously.


Do I need additional software?
Yes. In order to log in to the Trackbuster network (after successful registration and activation) you have to use special client software. This software can be downloaded from the Trackbuster website.


Does Trackbuster work with other operating systems?
To connect to the Trackbuster network you need a OpenVPN compatible Clientsoftware. Mac OS X Users can use e.g. Tunnelblick (www.tunnelblick.net) and Linux users you can for example use the OpenVPN Package bundeld with your linux distribution.

When using differemt operationg systems you will also need to install the Trackbuster Key - and Certificatefiles.

We de not provide support for any another software than the Trackbuster windows client software.


Does Trackbuster work with my internet access?
Trackbuster works with every type of Internet access. You just need a working internet connection (by modem, DSL, WLAN, etc.) so you can log on to the Trackbuster network. After you have been logged in to our network, you are surfing via an encrypted connection, using an IP-address from the Trackbuster network.


How much data can I download using Trackbuster?
Trackbuster does not limit the amount of data you can send and receive using the Trackbuster network.


I am using firewall / virus protection software. What do I have to consider?
In order to use the Trackbuster client software, you have to configure your firewall in a way that the Trackbuster client software has permission to send and receive data over the internet. The files trackbuster_client.exe and openvpn.exe need these permissions.
It is a known issue, that certain firewall and virus protection software, do block the Trackbuster client software, even if the needed permissions are granted. In this case you have to deactivate your firewall / virus protection software while using the Trackbuster client software. Additionally we recommend you to install this driver.


I am using a router. What do I have to consider?
If you are connected to the internet via a router, please consider that you have to configure your router in a way that the router is able to pass port 1194 through to your computer. If you need help, please consult the manual of your router or contact your system operator.


Does using Trackbuster affect my download speed?
Depending on the load of the Trackbuster network you can use the full speed of your internet connection. Trackbuster does not reduce the available bandwidth. By sending compressed data to your computer, Trackbuster can actually accelerate your data traffic.

I am using Trackbuster. Who can track what I am downloading and where I am browsing?
NOBODY! Even your ISP or the system operator of your (company-) network can only determine that you are using the servers of the Trackbuster network. An encrypted connection is established between your computer and our servers, by which data is exchanged. Every incoming and outgoing data from your computer is encrypted. Decoding this data by third-party is as good as impossible. Please keep in mind: many internet applications (e.g. Internet Explorer, etc.) are caching data on your local computer. If you are using a public computer we recommend you to delete these data afterwards.


Does Trackbuster log my usage data?
NO! Trackbuster does not log in any way when and how you are using the services of Trackbuster. Trackbuster solely saves your username/password and information about duration / status of your membership. We do not log any dial-ups, data information, or similar. Thus, backtracking of the downloaded data is impossible.


What happens to my data, after my membership has expired?
After your membership has expired, your user account is deleted. If you would like to use the services of Trackbuster after the expiration of your membership, please create a new user account.
